July was a crazy month for MMA, and not only because of everything associated with the UFC including UFC 200, drug test failures, etc. July yielded some amazing performances and even some upsets in the world of mixed martial arts. It was so crazy that we could not give the “Fighter of the Month” honor to only one fighter. Let’s start with our first fighter.

MVP BellatorFighter: Michael “Venom” Page

Organization: Bellator

Class: Welterweight

Record: 11-0

Last Fight: Evangelista “Cyborg” Santos (Bellator 158 – Daley v. Lima)

Reason: Michael Page has been the subject of much talk in the MMA world due to his impressive 11-0 record and his string of highlight reel finishes coupled with his memorable win celebrations. Page’s most recent fight against the always dangerous Evangelista Santos saw Page end the fight with a devastating knee that not only lit social media on fire but unfortunately sent Evangelista to the hospital with a very gruesome skull fracture.

While Evangelista is currently on the mend, the rest of Bellator’s welterweights should really focus on ways to not become a part of MVP’s highlight reel.
