As a long time comic reader I have always had a fondness the for the What If? series because it really showed amazing creativity and allowed writers and artists to test the water creatively with certain characters. One of my all time favs was What If… Wolverine Was Lord Of The Vampires. It was a book I read as a kid and I chased as an adultbecause it was crazy story that really took Wolverine in another direction which as a kid was awesome.

Marvel flexes their creative muscles once again with the Builder War as the creative backdrop with the What If? Infinity series. This new series poses questions like What if Thanos had joined the Avengers to battle back the invading Builders? What if the Avengers lost the war, leaving the Earth vulnerable? What if Norman Osborn gained control of the Infinity Gauntlet, ushering in a new Dark Reign?

Seeing Osborn with the gauntlet is enough to get me interested that's for sure. Hit up your local comic shop this October to see if these new What If? tales are just as good as the classics.
