Remo+ Showcases New Smart Home Offerings At CE Week NY 2019

We had the pleasure of meeting with Remo+ during CE Week this week and got a chance to see their new doorbell and front door cam offerings and came away impressed with what the multi-time CE Week Best in Show winner brought to the table. Amazon Alexa and Google Home integration are always welcome but the high point, especially with the doorbells, was the free 3-day cloud storage. Let's get to the products we saw!

RemoBell W

Remo+ offers a direct competitor to the wireless Nest and Ring doorbell offerings. It offers full 1080p resolution and has a 160° viewing angle as well as the usual night vision and two-way audio capabilities. The high point for all of the hardware is that Remo+ offers up to 3 days of recording for free. The recordings are accessible by up to 5 viewers per account. The RemoBell W is regularly priced at $199 but for a limited time can be purchased for $149.

RemoBell S

The $99 RemoBell S is a lower cost wired smart doorbell that comes with a lot of the same bells and whistles as its expensive counterpart including the three-day free video storage but you will have a reduced viewing angle and a slightly lower resolution. Here is a full breakdown of the difference between both doorbells.

Both doorbells can be used with the plug and play USB powered Remo Chime allowing you to hear if someone is at the door when you don't have your phone handy. The Chime connects to your Wifi and offers multiple alerts and volume options. The $99 Remobell S includes a chime with purchase saving you $29.99.

DoorCam 2

The last piece of hardware Remo+ showcased was their new and improved DoorCam 2. You can check out our review of the previous DoorCam here. The DoorCam 2 improves on their previous model and offers 1080p video and a 150° viewing angle. You will also have the ability to power the DoorCam via 3 D batteries or via DC power. The super simple installation is still the high point of the DoorCam hardware but video storage has no free tier as of this article. DoorCam 2 owners will have the option of paying either $3 per month or $30 per year for up to 30 days of video.

We hope to have a review of some of these items in the coming weeks. If your interested in picking up any of these items you can visit the Remo+ website here.
