The Walking Dead - Michonne announcement

If you have seen The Walking Dead television show then you are familiar with Michonne and that she has a past that is definitely not the brightest. If you have read the comics, however, you have glimpsed into the abyss that was her soul and have a much better understanding of the character. She may not be a serial killer, a megalomaniac, a rapist or a cannibal, but she is quite possibly the most disturbed character in the series. She just deals with it a lot better than some of the other more “colorful” cast members. The first season of The Walking Dead from Telltale featured Glenn in the inaugural episode. This was to let players know that this is the same universe that Rick and his people are in, just a different path followed by other survivors. Last night during The Video Game Awards 2015, they gave us a first look at their take on Michonne in the above trailer. This morning, the news continues as Telltale has announced that Samira Wiley of Orange Is the New Black fame will voice Michonne in the game. The time period of the game will cover her disappearance from the comic between issues 126 through 139. The upcoming three-episode miniseries is not only meant to give us more insight on a fan favorite character, Telltale says that it will further connect the game series to that of the comic book/television show. I, for one, cannot wait for this.  You had best believe that R.A.G.E. Works will be all over this game, so stay tuned for more information as it becomes available!
