1st Impression:
After his impressive and genuinely cool portrayal of Aquaman in Justice League many fans including yours truly were wondering if Jason Momoa could carry an entire film as Arthur Curry/Aquaman and while I feel the jury is still out on that the initial trailer made a strong case for wanting to see more of Atlantis and its inhabitants and creatures thanks to some amazing visual effects that were showcased. There was a lot of imagery pulled straight from the comics that I can't wait to see on the big screen. My biggest concern though is that Warner Brother's hit or miss special effects (Henry Cavill's mustache) will hinder the film. I hope I am mistaken and Aquaman builds off of Wonder Woman's positive reception and becomes another step in helping the DC Cinematic Universe move forward.
