1st Impression:
When I first heard about this new Charlie's Angels project from Elizabeth Banks I was under the impression that it would be for a television series and not a feature film. The entire vibe of the trailer feels very much like a TV show and while I say to myself “do we need another Charlie's Angels” film or TV show I have to admit I did not hate the trailer.

This film is a far departure from the Drew Barrymore, Lucy Liu, and Cameron Diaz lead films from the early 2000s. These Angels have no problems using guns versus the wire powered martial arts of the last two films which I think is fine as that style has evolved quite a bit.

The cast is fine although the need for three Bosley's is odd. I'm sure they will elaborate on that in the film. At least I hope they do because if you're familiar with the series you'll probably wonder the same thing.

Overall it seems like a fun mindless popcorn flick with some stylish gunplay and an all-star cast. Will that be enough to guarantee success? I guess we'll find out in November. What did you think of the trailer? Let us know in the comments.
