1st Impression:
Disney released the latest full trailer for Aladdin today. While I am still not onboard with Will Smith's Fresh Genie of Agrabah approach I think he's done a good job making the role his own and adding his spin to the character. My hangup with Will Smith as the Genie is not because he will be bad in the role but more because the late Robin Williams was just so good in the role.

I do appreciate the fact that the film captured so many iconic moments from the animated original and kept them intact for the most part. Those iconic moments and their associated songs are things that made the animated film iconic.  I also liked seeing some of the film's other iconic characters including Carpet, Abu, and Rajah the tiger.  The live action Aladdin has all the makings of a box office hit and will introduce new fans to a true Disney classic.
