1st Impression:
When it was announced that we would be getting a new Hellboy film without Ron Perlman as Hellboy and Guillermo Del Toro at the helm I was not happy. Del Toro and Perlman did a stellar job with Mike Mignola's creation and delivered two solid adaptations.

David Harbour's Hellboy brings a bit of Perlman's comedic timing to his portrayal of the character and it is the high point of the trailer for me personally. I feel that while Harbour is good as Hellboy the rest of the trailer feels a bit lacking as do some of the special effects. This could be attributed to just poor scene placement or unfinished effects but it just seemed subpar when compared to some of the effects we've seen from superhero films. I am going to reserve full judgment till we get a new trailer but my interest is definitely piqued thanks to the work David Harbour put in.
