1st Impression:
After seeing the teaser, my first thought was “Kingsman: Sherwood Forest”, but my opinion has changed a bit after seeing this latest trailer. While Egerton does bring a bit of the cocky and brash style displayed in the Kingsman films, he definitely plays well off of Jamie Foxx. The addition of Ben Mendelsohn as the Sheriff of Nottingham is great casting as Mendelsohn never disappoints when playing the villain.

As someone who is a fan of Robin Hood films (with the Errol Flynn and Kevin Costner versions being personal favorites), I wondered if we really needed another take, especially after the poor reception that Guy Ritchie's King Arthur film received. A part of me feels that the lack of modern interest in a classic hero like Robin Hood will hurt this film's chances, but I will remain optimistic since I felt the same way about Antonio Banderas' Zorro and I ended up enjoying that film quite a bit.
