It was a spectacular weekend for WWE in NYC with stellar crowds at the Barclays for NXT, SummerSlam, RAW and SmackDown Live but sadly it was not without incident as Big Cass who was in the midst of a feud with Enzo Amore suffered an ACL tear on RAW this past Monday during a Brooklyn Steet Fight with Enzo. The injury was sustained when Enzo sidestepped a big boot from Cass pulling the top rope to send the seven footer crashing to the floor. When Cass landed you can tell something was wrong and the match was ended abruptly citing Cass being unable to continue.

WWE ringside physician Dr. Chris Robinson shared the following regarding the injury:

“It looks like he has an ACL tear, possibly a medial meniscus tear, but we’re going to wait for the radiologist to evaluate the MRI and give us their full report,”

He also stated that a typical ACL tear takes about nine months to recover from. The injury while unfortunate also leaves Enzo Amore's already spotty future even more up in the air as his feud with Cass took the focus away from his backstage issues.

We wish Big Cass a speedy recovery and share any updates on his recovery time.
