I highly recommend getting a Kinect, as well (I bought my separate). Unlike the 360, where the Kinect is a gimmicky add on; the One integrates the Kinect, much better. The Kinect allows for voice commands that, while not replacing the need for a remote, can allow quick changes during media uses. Of course, there are the Kinect games, a big hit for the younger kids (and adults sometimes, too). Lastly, the best thing it does is function as an IR blaster. I have mine set up to turn on my TV and Receiver, when I power on the One. It will mute/unmute the receiver. Also, it brings up an interactive TV guide for my Uverse box, allowing me to quickly and easily control the channel, without ever changing remotes, and again the voice commands come in handy (e.g. "Xbox go to ESPN" will launch the TV app and tune my box to ESPN). And, of course, there's a Blu-Ray player app now.
Next, The Master Chief Collection is a great play-through for all true Halo fans. I love the games and the nostalgia is rich, Also, they did a good job of updating the graphics, without losing the original feel.
With some heavy hitters coming out, I'm waiting to invest in another game, but will try to update this, when I do.
UPDATE:
I got Black Ops 3, Assassin's Creed Syndicate, and Star Wars Battlefront for Christmas... all I can say is, "WOW!" I thought I loved this system before. I'm totally hooked now. Black Ops 3 is a great online multiplayer FPS. It's not as graphic intensive as some of the other games, but that lends to a better overall online experience. Assassin's Creed Syndicate really shows off the graphics of this system. I feel like I'm actually walking the streets of London. Lastly, Star Wars Battlefront is a graphic marvel. As a long time Star Wars fan and someone who played the old Battlefronts, I was leery to say the least. This game is truly a work of art. Occasionally I find myself getting shot, because I'm too busy taking in the scenery. I hooked it up to my dad's new 4k TV and played Battlefront and had the whole family just staring in wonder. I will admit that Star Wars is not my favorite from a game play standpoint, but it certainly shows of the graphics capability of the Xbox One.
Ive played sunset overdrive, the witcher and metal gear ground zeroes, all which look and play amazing.sunset overdrive is a must play, this coming from someone who doesnt lik sandbox games, sunset was fun with constantly new ideas.one of the best games ive played in a long time.
Im not saying im never going back to ps4,both consoles have great exclusives, but the xbox one is a refreshing and welcome change. 5 stars
