Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Has a New Story Trailer

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided - A thrilling game set in a world divided by mechanical apartheid.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided has been riding a roller coaster in terms of reception over the past year. When it was shown at e3 last year, people when crazy over the graphics and gameplay features. Towards the end of 2015, there was the infamous pre-order fiasco that almost buried the title. In 2016, momentum has been gained as the pre-order campaign was scrapped and Eidos Montréal presented some impressive game footage. Things continue to look positive for the August release of the game; so why are we being fed a live action trailer less than three months away from launch?

Don't get me wrong, I am excited about playing Deus Ex: Mankind Divided later this year. Couple that with the fact that (despite some overacting) the trailer itself is interesting and it looks really cool. My thing is that we already know the basics of the story behind the game. Live action trailers do little to make us want to play a game because of one irreparable flaw: they contain zero gameplay. At this late stage of development, it also does not inspire confidence. Regardless, this is the opinion of one person. Please watch the trailer and decide for yourselves.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is still slated to launch on PS4, Steam and Xbox One on August 23, 2016.
