Echo Comes to Steam and PS4 September 19

Echo - full level screenshot. With Echo, you can easily capture a full level screenshot of any game or application.

Developer Ultra Ultra is looking to take stealth to a whole other level this month. A small company comprised of former employees of a little company called Io-Interactive. You know, that place that makes those Hitman games. They kinda know what they are doing when it comes to stealth action. Having said that, you can imagine that I am excited to try out their upcoming title, Echo.

Echo - awakening

Ultra Ultra describes Echo as a third-person, science fiction adventure. Here is their description of the game's plot:

After a century in stasis the girl En arrives at her destination: A Palace out of legend, a marvel of the old civilization eons gone, still awaiting its first human occupants. Out here, using forgotten technologies, she hopes to bring back a life that should not have been lost…

Echo - army of En

The “palace” in Echo is a massive structure floating in space that houses amazing technology. It can create life and En hopes to resurrect a lost love with it. The problem is that the system controlling the palace sees everything within and sees En as a threat. To remove the threat it creates the perfect exterminator: a literal army of En. Not only do the enemies look exactly like her, the palace continuously reprograms them with her behavior.

The only time the palace is not watching En is during blackout periods. This is the time where the palace has gathered enough information on En to reprogram her pursuers. During this time, your actions will not update your enemies. However, if you were especially aggressive – killing several enemies for example, expect them to hunt you. if you were stealthy and did a lot of hiding, expect them to sneak up on you. Every cycle replaces the last and we will have to keep up with our own actions.

On September 19th, Steam and PS4 gamers can get their hands on Echo and find out who is better between me and . . . me.
