Update: Enzo Amore released the following statement via his attorney on his twitter account.
“Over the last two days, Philomena Sheahan has made multiple public accusations against Eric Arndt (also known as Enzo Amore with the WWE), including allegations of sexual misconduct concerning an October 2017 incident in Phoenix. Mr. Arndt fully and unequivocally denies those accusations. He is cooperating with the authorities in this matter and looks forward to having it resolved in a timely manner. Neither Mr. Arndt nor his counsel will be making any further public comments on this matter.”
Original: It has been a crazy 24 hours for WWE and Cruiserweight champion for Enzo Amore. WWE announced on Monday that they were suspending Amore after allegations of sexual assault. The suspension turned into a release earlier today. WWE made it clear when they announced Enzo's suspension on Monday that they have a “zero tolerance for matters involving sexual harassment or sexual assault.”
Enzo Amore established himself as a superstar to watch during his pairing with Big Cass in both NXT and on the main roster. When the duo was broken up Enzo became a fixture on RAW and later 205 Live as Cruiserweight champion. Enzo was slated to defend his Cruiserweight Championship against Cedric Alexander during this Sunday's Royal Rumble event.
