Fall TV Shakeups – Did your favorite show get a green light to next season?

Get ready to say Sayonara – I am bringing you the shows have all gotten the ax, courtesy of the Network Upfronts that occurred this week.

ABC

Say goodbye to Flash Forward and Better Off Ted. Also gone is Law & Order –This show falls short of a record-breaking 21st season (Gunsmoke is the record holder). The series finale will air on May 24.

NBC
Heroes is gone, although I will not miss it. Unfortunately it went to shit after Season 1. Also booted were Mercy and Trauma.

CBS

Peace out Cold Case, Gary Unmarried, Ghost Whisperer, Miami Medical and Numb3rs.

Now, I am not only the bearer of bad news, so here’s some good news. The following shows that were on the bubble ARE coming back…

NBC

Chuck (Note: WOOOHOOO!!) and Parenthood.

New shows I have heard about thus far are Outsourced, Love Bites, The Cape, Friends With Benefits, Perfect Couples, Harry’s Law and The Paul Reiser Show. Not too sure when they will all debut though. Also, there’s a new series called America’s Next Great Restaurant hosted by Food Network fave Bobby Flay.  In another weird move, fan-backed Parks and Recreation has been moved to a midseason slot.

ABC

V: Officially gets a 13-episode second outing (woohoo), although it is going to come back mid-season. Bummer.

After releasing it’s Fall 2010-2011 Schedule, ABC is bringing us the following new shows: Better Together,  Body of Proof, Detroit 1-8-7, Happy Endings, Mr. Sunshine, My Generation, No Ordinary Family, Off the Map, Secret Millionaire, and The Whole Truth. I will find out what each is about and bring you synopses of what looks good (if any).

FOX
Fringe, Human Target and Lie to Me

New shows on tap for FOX: Raising Hope, Lonestar – a soap opera with Jon Voight and Running Wilde which has Keri Russell and Will Arnett. Although not scheduled yet, they also have a show called Terra Nova, which is the network’s most promising newbie. It is a prehistoric, time-traveling drama which has yet to be cast. Word is they’ve hired the production designer from Avatar to work on the special effects.

CBS

Medium and Rules of Engagement.

New shows for this network are: Hawaii 5-0, Defenders, Blue Bloods, Mike and Molly, Criminal Minds 2 starring Forest Whitaker. I am most interested in Shit My Dad Says, which is based off of a Twitter account which is a collection of funny quotes from a 73-year old dad of the account holder. I follow this feed (@shitmydadsays), and there’s some hilarious shit, so I am eager to see it replicated on the small screen.

An example of a tweet : “Stop trying so hard. He doesn't like you. Jesus, don't kiss an ass if it's in the process of shitting on you.”

So, now that you know the state of your TV and DVR in the fall, what do you think? Hit up the comments – what are you mad about getting canceled?
