If you are even mildly interested in Just Cause 3 then you have probably seen the trailer that featured wingsuit travel and combat. If you cannot wait to experience that part of Just Cause 3 then you are in luck. As of today, Square Enix has released an app for Android and iOS mobile devices that lets you experience the island of Medici from the best view available. Just Cause 3 will not be available until December, so get your fix now. There is nothing wrong with free.

There really is nothing wrong with free, especially when it gives you beautiful visuals. The videos you watch showcase the level of detail that has been put into the upcoming game. There are five loops that show you different locales of the island that you will be able to visit. There are then two full videos of the wingsuit action. The daytime video shows main character Rico Rodriguez assaulting what looks like an enemy communications tower. I found this especially entertaining as he took several bullets “where the sun don't shine” but kept going about his business. The nighttime video has him pass the same towers but he does not return fire. Everything looks fantastic but once you have seen it, you've seen it.

You can tell that there was a decent amount of work put into this app but there was really no need for an app to have been made. All of the content that you get could have been put on the Just Cause 3 website. If an app were to be made regarding the wingsuit, I am sure that everyone would have expected to be able to control the experience. Being able to look everywhere is awesome, but not awesome enough to boot this app up more than once. I think that anyone looking forward to Just Cause 3 should download this app, but there is no reason to keep it on your phone for more than about a half hour.
