The God of War series has made Sony a lot of money and despite the fact that Kratos’ tale was supposed to have been concluded with God of War III, Sony is not done with the Ghost of Sparta. A trailer has surfaced which says that there was a time before Kratos would break his blood oath to an unjust god. We see images of a Cerberus and a Gorgon, along with that of a woman who appears to be killed. We see Kratos as well, but the only way we really recognize him is through the tattoos on his chest and face. Take a look and see what I mean.
If you do not pay attention, you might think his skin is pale white in the trailer, but it is really transparent. The illusion of the white is the background light shining through. This is all we really know for sure:
- This game will be a prequel to the original PS2 game.
- There is much untold history between the battle where Kratos called out to Ares and when the ashes were bonded to him.
So will this be the first time that players will control Kratos in his original skin? Maybe we will find out when the Playstation blog drops on April 30. This much I do know. If Terrence Carson does not reprise his role as Kratos, I will not support this game, but I doubt that will be an issue.
