Starz’ “Spartacus” Replenishes It’s Ladies

Are you still reeling from the season finale of Starz’ Spartacus: Vengeance that aired March 30th ? Still heartbroken over the losses of Oenomaus (Peter Mensah) and Mira (Katrina Law)? Still gobsmacked over the deaths of Lucretia (Lucy Lawless) and Ilithyia (Viva Bianca)? Couldn’t be more elated to see Glaber (Craig Parker) and Ashur (Nick Tarabay) go in bloody fashion?

Well, being the series clearly axed half of it’s cast, they have to start rebuilding the ranks. This coming season will follow Spartacus and the Rebels as they go against Roman leaders. We already know that next season will introduce Julius Caesar (Simon Merrells) and Marcus Crassus (Todd Lasance), which is awesome. Now, what better way to continue than to add three new women to the fold? Who are these newcomers you ask?

(L to R) Laeta (Anna Hutchison ), Kore (Jenna Lind) and Sibyl (Gwendoline Taylor)

Actress Anna Hutchison (Cabin in the Woods) will play Laeta, who is described as “the privileged wife of a Roman dignitary who becomes entangled in the struggle against Spartacus.”

Jenna Lind (Underbelly II) is set to play Kore, “a loyal slave to Marcus Crassus, who is the man tasked to bring an end to Spartacus and his rebellion.”

Lastly, Gwendoline Taylor (Go Girls) will play Sibyl, “a beautiful young slave rescued from Roman cruelty.” Hmm….do I smell new love interest for Liam McIntyre’s Spartacus?

This season certainly looks to be promising with these additions. But, as always, this series always goes above and beyond anyone’s theories of how great it will be.

No premiere date has officially been set by Starz, nor do we know the full title, but as soon as it is available, MTR will bring it right to you.
