The Long Island Comic Book Expo Returns With Its First Show Of 2018

2017 was a stellar inaugural year for the Long Island Comic Book Expo. The LICBE not only introduced itself as a new comic book-focused convention to fans across Long Island and New York's five boroughs, but has also succeeded in growing itself in the crowded NY convention scene without losing sight of keeping comic books, comic book memorabilia and fans first. The brainchild of our very own Jimbo Slyice and his business partner Greg, the Expo stripped away all the minutia that that plagues other cons and took things back to basics, all while keeping the price tag affordable for collectors and their families. Admission is just $5.00, with the added bonus of children aged 10 and under getting in for free. For roughly the cost of a cup of coffee at Starbucks, fans are transported back to the golden days of comic conventions where tables upon tables are full of comic books, action figures, statues, t-shirts and collectibles. Not to mention, there is an expanding plethora of amazing artists on hand as well. Here are some of the artists you can expect to see at the first Long Island Comic Book Expo of 2018.

Fans in attendance will also get a chance to meet Cable & Deadpool artist and writer Reilly Brown as well.

Comic fans looking for graded books will have a chance to clear some off their list courtesy of the vendors in attendance. You may ask, “What about if I want to get some of my purchases graded”? I am happy to announce that for the first time, the Long Island Comic Book Expo will have CBCS (Comic Book Certification Service) in attendance taking comic submissions for grading. CBCS President and Primary Grader Steve Borock will be in the building as well and if you caught our interview with him on The Variant Issue, then you already know Steve's reputation and expertise is second to none when it comes to grading so get your books ready!
