How would you feel about a world where all electricity/energy ceases to exist? That’s right, no iPhones, Androids, Facebook – nothing! That’s what we will see in Revolution, a new series from J.J. Abrams (LOST) that has been picked up by NBC. Penning the script will be the fantastic Eric Kripke (Supernatural). After an apocalyptic disaster leaves America without any devices or machines, a group of people struggle to survive and find their loved ones. On board so far to star in this series are Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad), Billy Burke (Twilight) and Andrea Roth (Ringer).

Here’s an official logline for this new series: “In this epic adventure thriller, a family struggles to reunite in a post-apocalyptic American landscape: a world of empty cities, local militias and heroic freedom fighters, where every single piece of technology — computers, planes, cars, phones, even lights — has mysteriously blacked out … forever.”

Ohhhh. Sounds creepy and horribly silent and boring.

Abrams has been busy. Revolution will join his other series in the works, Shelter. This drama, if you’re interested, (like I am because it will be on The CW), will star Malese Jow, formerly know as The Vampire Diaries Anna. Sold!

What do you think of this premise for Revolution? Will you watch solely because of J.J. Abrams? Hit the comments.
