Plot Synopsis: The follow-up to Happy Death Day sees the return of the baby-faced killer two years after the events of the first film.
1st Impression: I never would have thought that the concept of Happy Death Day would have been as entertaining as it was but I’ll admit I did enjoy it and loved that the film did not take itself too seriously or reinvent the slasher genre. Jessica Rothe‘s portrayal of Tree Gelbman was the highlight of the first film so it is good to see her back in the sequel. The plot is similar to the first film as Tree must once again break the loop and stop the baby-faced killer from not only killing her but her friends as well. 50 Cent scores himself another royalty check with the use of In Da Club once again.
Let’s hope the follow-up is as entertaining as the original but when it comes to horror movies that is not often the case. I guess we’ll find out next year.
