The French Farm: The French Farm is a perennial favorite year-round for us, and make for an excellent holiday gift with international flair. This storefront offers savory and sweet European delights with an emphasis on the culinary specials of France, including candies, honey, mustards, spreads, drinks, oils, spices, and so much more.
We highly recommend any of the fruit spreads, and the spicy mustards will change how you consume that condiment. Plus, you can never go wrong with their Sable shortbread cookies or pates de fruits.
Wildwood Chocolate: This Oregon-based award winning chocolatier is known for making gorgeous hand-crafted chocolates and caramels that are as good to look at as they are to eat. Seriously – their candy bars are outrageous in design and flavor combinations, and the shiny tempered chocolate is perfection. Their caramels are no slouch either, and thankfully – they have a great gift box selection to make it easy to try a little of everything. We urge you to go for the combos to really taste what makes Wildwood Chocolates so special.
Decus Tea: This one is for the Dungeons & Dragons fans out there, but also tea aficionados with high standards. Decus Tea is one of my favorite sites to see at many East Coast comic conventions, but they are truly worth checking out even if you aren’t a tabletop RPG fan. With loose leaf tea mixes named after D&D classes or actions, the aroma and flavor immediately capture the essence of whatever they are invoking. Don’t believe me? How about their Barbarian blend with black tea, hibiscus, cocoa nibs, cardamon, blackberry, and cloves, or their Bard flavor with strawberry, cherry, hibiscus, almond, and hazelnut. The site is loads of fun going through the page and discovering what is in each blend, and having smelled all of them at events, I can confirm there is no wrong choice with Decus Tea.
Setton Farms Pistachios: This family-owned Pistachio grower based in California’s central valley is one of the largest maker of this tasty nut, and has the flavor and expertise to prove it.
They aren’t just growing your typical pistachios, as there’s come in flavors like tajin seasoned, dark chocolate covered, pistachio pub mix, buffalo wing, chili limon, scorpion pepper, and garlic onion.
Besides being healthy as a source of protein and vital amino acids, Setton Farms pistachios are among the most flavorful nuts on the market, and well worth hunting down.
