When The Muppets returned to the big screen in 2011 I felt that Disney was going for a typical cash grab but after seeing the film I was pleasantly surprised by how clever, well written and entertaining it truly was. The nostalgia I felt seeing my favorites like Animal and Gonzo on-screen again after so many years was refreshing and I was glad so many of my peers enjoyed the film as much as I did. I really felt the film did not need a sequel though but in typical Hollywood fashion we are getting one anyway and the cast in this film is a who’s who of great talent including Tom Hiddleston, Ricky Gervais, Christoph Waltz, Ty Burrell and Tina Fey. Let’s hope this impressive cast does not detract from the Muppets too much and we get another enjoyable film.
