I have been hearing things about this upcoming movie for awhile but felt it was just web generated hype. After watching this trailer though I felt they were trying to improve on the Cloverfield formula and also capture people with an Independence Day vibe. While the visuals look impressive and well done. Not sure I like the lead actors since they decided to go with the Michael Bay style cuts where it was all yelling and slow mo. I think that they probably realized that a lot of people like myself were utterly bored by the original teaser trailer. This at least generates some buzz and makes you somewhat interested in the flick
