As a movie buff I have developed an appreciation for foreign action films because they pull no punches and try to be a real as possible. Obviously there are a ton of exceptions but overall foreign films are at times substantially better then their US counterparts. The Raid is no exception with its bloody storyline and visceral approach to storytelling . This will be a welcome addition to my movie library. If you enjoy films like The Killer and Old Boy then you’ll enjoy this.
