Plot Synopsis: No official plot synopsis available yet. The film will focus on how Eddie Brock acquires the Venom symbiote and is based on the Lethal Protector Venom series.
1st Impression: While the teaser trailer left a lot to be desired I do feel this trailer is an improvement. We not only get some more plot details including the Life Foundation’s involvement but we also get a bit of Eddie Brock’s relationship with the symbiote and the big reveal of Venom which is what we’re all waiting for. While Venom definitely looks more like his comic book counterpart and less like what we saw in Spider-Man 3 I am hearing the effects in the trailer weren’t finalized which gives me hope that it will look better when the film hits theaters.
As much as I would like Disney/Marvel to handle this film and any others from the Spider-Man mythos we’re unfortunately going to have to make due with Sony’s offering. As someone who is a fan of the Venom character, I am sadly still not super excited for this film even with this better trailer. We’ll see if that changes as we get closer to the film’s release.
