Channing Tatum takes his skills acquired in G.I Joe to make a run at the action genre. This is now the second film involving the White House getting attacked this year with Olympus Has Fallen being the first. Whenever we get two films that have a similar premise I always feel the first one out of the gate does better while the second tries to not make the mistakes of the first. While Olympus Has Fallen had some great casting it looks like White House Down has a solid group of actors as well including Jamie Foxx and Maggie Gyllenhaal. Roland Emmerich seems to be hit and miss so we’ll have to wait and see.
