Amazon Announces New Alexa Powered Fire TV Stick

In the war of digital media set top boxes, the Amazon Fire TV Stick has carved out a solid niche with its affordable price point and customization options. The small media stick not only allows users to enjoy Amazon Prime subscription programming but a litany of additional services including HBO Go, Sling TV, and others. Amazon announced a new updated Firestick  which will come with Amazon’s Alexa assistant built into the Fire TV Stick remote.  Users will be able to use universal search across more than 90 apps and channels using just your voice along with numerous Alexa commands.

The Fire TV Stick’s content offerings continue to grow with more than 7,000 channels, 300,000 movies, and TV episodes plus new apps and Alexa skills.  All of these new enhancements head your way and the cost of entry remains the same $39.99 it has always been.

Customers that order the new Amazon Fire TV Stick and activate it by October 31 get one month of Sling TV and two months of Hulu (Limited Commercials) for new subscribers, and a $10 credit for Amazon Video – a value of up to $65.
