Earlier this evening Capcom announced their fifth and final character for Ultra Street Fighter IV. Since the announcements of Poison, Hugo, Rolento and Elena the web has been buzzing with rumors as to who this new character would be. While the initial rumors pointed towards someone from the Street Fighter comics there were plenty of names tossed about that were not related to the comics or Street Fighter canon including Asura from Asura’s Wrath who I thought was a definite possibility. It turns out that Decapre is the latest addition and joins the fight by way of Street Fighter Alpha 3 where she appeared as a non playable character and is one of M. Bison‘s Dolls. While it is easy to see Decapre as a Cammy clone due to the pigtails and scarring it turns out that she is a Russian doll behind that mask who wields an assortment of scramble moves and psycho power attacks. The addition of Decapre brings the Ultra Street Fighter roster to 44 fighters. Check out the trailer and picture gallery and get acquainted with the very dangerous Decapre.

Ultra Street Fighter IV’s new challengers and stages are not the only things fans of series can look forward to as the fighters from the existing roster were rebalanced. The rebalancing will definitely change the way long time players approach the game and will extend the shelf life of the fourth installment for a bit longer. We can only hope we see a fifth Street Fighter sooner rather than later.
Those of you looking to pick this up have a few options. Owners of Super Street Fighter IV or Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition will be able to download Ultra Street Fighter IV as a $14.99/€14.99 digital upgrade for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in early June 2014. The PC digital upgrade for $14.99/€14.99 and the PC full digital bundle for $29.99/€29.99 will both be available in August 2014. Also in August, PS3 and Xbox 360 users can purchase the retail versions of the game for $39.99/€39.99. PS3 users will also be able to download the full version of the game in August for $39.99/€39.99. Players who purchase the retail (PS3, Xbox 360) or full digital bundle (PS3, PC) will receive all previously released costumes for the series (a $40/€40 value), making this the definitive version of Street Fighter IV!
