A new Avengers teams debuts after the events of the Avengers: No Surrender arc and while fans will see some new additions it’s the reunion of Thor, Captain America and Iron Man that everyone talking. The founding members of the Avengers will join Captain Marvel, Black Panther, Ghost Rider (Robbie Reyes), Hulk (Jennifer Walters), and Dr. Strange to take on the Dark Celestials.
My Take: A solid Avengers team plus Jason Aaron’s writing and Ed McGuinness artwork is a recipe for aa solid book. The release of Avengers #1 does not shock me as the timing falls in line with the release of Avengers: Infinity War. While I am not a fan of the new/old numbering logic Marvel is messing with I think the team they put together for this book should keep things interesting from month to month especially with loose cannons like Ghost Rider and the former She-Hulk.
