1st Impression:
The Child's Play franchise has taken some strange twists and turns over the years and the latest twist is a new rebooted film featuring the iconic killer doll. This new interpretation of the character while keeping a lot of the franchise's core elements does not have the blessing of franchise creator Don Mancini and does away with the iconic “Good Guy” moniker now branding the dolls as “Buddi” dolls. Also gone are the supernatural elements with the story opting to go with a smart doll with AI that gets tampered with.

What do you think of this change?

Child's Play is not only getting rebooted for the big screen but fans will also see Chucky on the small screen with an upcoming television series. Looks like we'll be seeing a lot more of Chucky in 2019.
