Plot Synopsis: Close Enough is an animated comedy about a married couple, their five-year-old daughter, and their two divorced best friends/roommates all living together on the east side of Los Angeles. They’re navigating that transitional time in your 30s when life is about growing up, but not growing old. It’s about juggling work, kids, and pursuing your dreams while avoiding time-traveling snails, stripper clowns, and murderous mannequins. Their life may not be ideal but for now, it’s close enough.

1st Impression:
HBO Max continues to strengthen its animated offerings and their new animated series Close Enough looks like another solid addition because you can never have enough adult cartoons. If you’re a fan of the Regular Show from JG Quintel you will probably dig the concept of Close Enough. Will we have the same level comedy as the Regular Show? That remains to be seen but given that Close Enough is for adults I am sure Quintel will be pulling no punches when it comes to the comedy and subject matter versus the Regular Show which was geared towards a younger audience. I definitely laughed a few times during the trailer and the premise is relatable to me on a personal level so I will be giving it a shot.

Let us know what you thought of the trailer and if Close Enough is a show you’ll be checking out on HBO Max when it kicks off on July 9th.
