1st Impression: The plot of Hustlers at a glance sounds pretty far fetched but it is actually borrowing heavily from a true story of strippers drugging and robbing their clients that was in a few different NY media outlets and the subject of a piece in New York Magazine. Jennifer Lopez's character is draws inspiration from the group's ringleader Barbash and while she is big part of the film the trailer appears to focus on the story of Destiny (Constance Wu) and her involvement with the gang. The film's all-star cast includes Cardi B who sings the track Money in the trailer. Cardi as has gone on record discussing her past and recently revealed that she drugged and robbed clients mirroring the characters and plot of this film.
The trailer while solid in giving us details on the story gets wrapped up in showing us some skin and showcasing Cardi's track which is surely unintentional. I'm sure J.Lo poledancing gifs will be all over the place along with plenty of the trailers gif worthy moments.
