1st Impression: When the Jumanji remake was announced I truly wanted to hate it out of allegiance to the Robin Williams original but I was pleasantly surprised at not only the chemistry of the cast but the way the overall story played out and separated itself from the Robin Williams original. The success of the first film guaranteed a sequel on paper and the first trailer gets that ball rolling in spectacular and over the top fashion. It not only reunites the cast to save one of their own but makes a lot of changes to the “avatars” and how they interact within the game which makes from solid lighthearted comedic moments. Devito and Glover are great additions to the cast and you’ll see why as you watch the trailer.
I am looking forward to seeing if they cast can recapture the magic of the first film not only from a box office front but from a story front as well. We’ll find out in November.
Did you like the first film and will you be checking out the second one? Let us know in the comments.
