1st Impression: Taron Egerton flexes his singing chops once more except this time he’s not doing it as an animated ape but as music legend Elton John. After the success of Bohemian Rhapsody, all eyes are on Rocketman to be equally as impressive especially when you consider the crazy life Elton John has had. The amazing visuals and soundtrack make the film look like a box office hit but unfortunately, Egerton’s box office potential has stumbled as of late with his portrayal of Robin Hood doing poorly. I look forward to seeing how this does at the box office in comparison to Bohemian Rhapsody. Will this be the film to get Egerton on a fast track toward being Hollywood’s new golden boy? We’ll have to wait till May to find out.
