Don’t lie…either you read this book or you know someone who did. (Yes, I too was sucked into the Grey world…I am not ashamed.) Now, after those pesky casting issues, the trailer for the film adaptation of E.L. James‘ erotic romance novel 50 Shades of Grey has finally hit the web. Fans of the book have been very vocal of both the original casting choices as well as the current leads for the film (including myself), so I am sure the reactions to this trailer will be varied across the board. I honestly don’t agree with the casting choices, but it is what it is.
If you are expecting some of the more, um…erotically revealing scenes in this trailer, you will be disappointed as it tries its hardest to capture the romantic narrative of the story along with the initial awkward meeting between Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey. But let’s be real – who the heck is really watching this movie for the story? We only get a blip of a gasp from Ana and a few peeks at the Red Room of Pain and it’s accessories. However, don’t fret, I am sure the subsequent trailers will change that over time as we get closer to the film’s release.
