While we recently shared our Diamond Select July preview with a ton of new collectibles, there are still plenty of excellent pieces that are hitting local comic and specialty shop shelves. Here are some awesome collectibles you can pick up this week as Diamond Select does their part for the Free Comic Book Summer event that kicked off this week. While fans may have missed out on Free Comic Book Day due to COVID-19 Diamond Select and many retailers, want to give back to the fans who have stuck by them during this tough time. Diamond even released an exclusive Emma Frost PVC diorama to coincide with the event. On to the collectibles!
DC Premier Collection Justice League Animated Series Batman
This Batman statue is part of a DC Trinity piece based on the looks they had during the animated Justice League series. The eleven-inch resin statue was designed by Barry Bradfield and sculpted by Varner Studios. Batman will be limited to 3,000 pieces and will come with a certificate of authenticity, which is typical for these limited pieces. The suggested retail price for this piece will be $150.00
Marvel Animated Style Deadpool Merc For Hire Statue
Skottie Young pieces are never a bad investment, especially when Gentle Giant is involved. This Deadpool Mercs For Hire statue is fantastic and is based on the Deadpool and the Mercs for Money #1 cover art by Skottie. The diorama is eight inches tall, and while not limited in terms of numbers, it will still come with a certificate of authenticity. The Deadpool Merc For Hire statue will have a suggested retail price of $125.00.
Marvel Comic Gallery Emma Frost PVC Diorama
This Emma frost piece, while similar to the GameStop exclusive piece from a while back, does not have the diamond form and instead opts to use Emma Frost’s non-diamond form. This diorama is now making its way to comic shops for Free Comic Book Summer. The diorama is designed by Caesar and sculpted by Alejandro Pereira. The suggested retail price will be $49.99. Marvel Comic Gallery Emma Frost Diamond Form PVC Diorama
This GameStop exclusive is now heading to your local comic and specialty shops and would be a welcome addition alongside its Free Comic Book Summer counterpart. The Diamond form diorama will have the same suggested retail price of $49.99 as the Free Comic Book Summer exclusive.
Marvel Movie Gallery Avengers Endgame Ronin PVC Diorama
Diamond Select continues to deliver great PVC pieces based on the Avengers Endgame film, and this Ronin statue is no exception. The nine-inch diorama was previously a GameStop exclusive now available to the general public. It is sculpted by David Cortes and has a suggested retail price of $49.99.
Iron Giant Select Action Figure
We shared details about this Iron Giant action figure a few months back, and we did not have to wait long for it to start showing up in stores. This nine-inch action figure has sixteen points of articulation, light-up eyes, a removable Hogarth Hughes, and “S” shield accessories. It also has some fantastic packaging that mimics the billboard where the Iron Giant would hide. Diamond Select also included some side-panel artwork on the packaging for collectors who want to keep the figure mint in the package. The suggested retail price will be $29.99
