On July 11, 2017, as part of the 30th anniversary of the Final Fantasy series, Square Enix will release Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age on the PlayStation 4. The classic tale will be revisited with Full HD graphics, 7.1 Surround Sound and the previously Japan-exclusive International Zodiac System.

Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age - Collector's Edition

For the hardcore Final Fantasy fan, there is the Collector's Edition. This version of the game gives you the LE steelbook, the digital soundtrack and a six card art set. What really makes this package stand out however, is the Judge Magisters Bust set. This set is a bit up there in price, but you can see the quality of the five busts pictured above. A collection like that justifies the $200 price tag.

Final Fantasy XII was an absolutely gorgeous game for its time. It pushed the PS2 to its limits. In terms of gameplay, I would say it classes in the top five of all FInal Fantasy titles. If you have never experienced it, you owe it to yourself to pick this up next month. If you have only played the original version of the game, this is definitely something to add to your PS4 library.

Originally launched in 2006 for the PlayStation®2 system and known for introducing many landmark features to the FINAL FANTASY series, FINAL FANTASY XII takes place in the grand world of Ivalice, where the small kingdom of Dalmasca is caught between warring empires Archadia and Rozarria. The lone heir to the Dalmascan throne, Princess Ashe has devoted herself to forming a resistance to liberate her homeland while Vaan, a young thief, dreams of flying free in the skies. The story begins when these two fated individuals meet, changing the destiny of the world’s greatest nations.
