Crytek has released Back To Dinosaur Island today. This tech demo means to demonstrate to gamers what to expect from their CryEngine technology when using the Oculus Rift peripheral. The demo immerses you in a lush jungle environment as you take the role of a baby Tyrannosaurus Rex. The experience culminates with an in your face encounter with one of your parents. Even in 2D, it is pretty spine-tingling. If you have an Oculus Rift headset then you should definitely check this out. I would love to see what this trailer looks like in VR! Next year could be huge for the Oculus Rift and PlayStation VR if games make use of technology like the CryEngine.
