I give Rockstar a lot of crap for taking forever to get things out to the public, but I always highlight their good points as well. Rockstar gets their fans; they know that people are tired of waiting for the PC version of Grand Theft Auto V. They also know how to make the wait worthwhile. Back when the game was nearing release for the PS4 and Xbox One, I presented the question as to why console gamers would buy this game at full price and in many cases buy it again. Rockstar went a long way to make the San Andreas experience a fresh one for gamers. While the game content will be the same on PC that it was for those new consoles, Rockstar is dripping just a bit more honey to make up for the long wait PC gamers have had to endure.

If you pre-order Grand Theft Auto V via the Rockstar Warehouse by February 1, 2015 (15% deposit aka $9 USD), you will receive the one million dollar bonus previously given to console gamers (split 50/50 between story and online modes). In addition, you will receive an additional three hundred thousand dollars for online mode ($800K total!) and you will also get a free digital download of choice from a selection of fantastic Rockstar classics. The choices are:

  • Max Payne 3
  • L.A. Noire
  • Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City
  • Grand Theft Auto IV
  • Bully (Scholarship Edition)
  • Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
  • Manhunt
  • Max Payne 2
  • Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
  • Midnight Club II
  • Grand Theft Auto III

Please note that you have to pre-order the game via the Rockstar Warehouse Store by February 1, 2015 and that both the free game and Grand Theft Auto V will be digital downloads. The above link has full details and the purchase link. PC gamers, of all the Grand Theft Auto V players, you are going to be the ones to score “The Big One.”
