Sigma To Debut New Prime Lens For Mirrorless Cameras At PhotoPlus Expo

RAGE Works is heading to the PhotoPlus Expo this Friday and Saturday and we are excited to see the new glass on hand from Sigma. Sigma will be showcasing their newly announced 16mm F1.4 DC DN | C lens which Sigma states will be on par with their stellar and super expensive ART line. This new lens is designed for APS-C mirrorless cameras which include the Sony E mount and Micro Four Thirds models.

The 16mm lens is dust and splash-proof and its large aperture guarantees stellar low light shots with awesome bokeh. The optical design and stepping motor deliver smooth autofocus during video shooting. The lens design fully accommodates the Fast Hybrid AF of Sony E-mount cameras for super-fast autofocus functionality. Using face recognition AF results in consistent autofocusing on faces, even as the subjects move.

We look forward to shooting with the lens this weekend so keep it locked to RAGE Works for updates from the PhotoPlus Expo show floor. If you're heading to show feel free to say hello.
