Tales of ARISE follows the story of Alphen, an iron-masked individual whose home planet of Dahna has been enslaved. The nearby planet of Rena has picked Dahna clean of natural resources for 300 years. During his struggle to free his people, Alphen encounters Shionne. She will team up with him as she attempts to flee her countrymen on Rena. As they both seek freedom, they will be joined by a cast of characters aiding their objective.

On the planet Dahna, reverence has always been given to Rena, the planet in the sky. The former looks to the latter as a land of the righteous and divine. Stories handed down for generations became truth and masked reality for the people of Dahna. For 300 years, Rena has ruled over Dahna, pillaging its resources and stripping people of their dignity and freedom.
Born on different worlds, Alphen and Shionne both look to change their fate and create a new future.
