Our latest featured guest for Toys & Tech of The Trade comes from a recommendation made by the crew from Straight Outta Austin. Luis not only works with the PTWoR crew, but also hosts The Comic Bubble Podcast. If you are a hardcore comic fan and are looking for  a pull-no-punches take on the comic book industry, definitely check out Luis’s work. Let’s turn it over to him and see what his Toys & Tech are.

Who are you and what do you do?: Ice, writer and podcaster for Punching The Walls of Reality. I have two comic book columns, the monthly “My Thoughts, Solicited” and the weekly “Comic Reviews with The Comic Bubble” while hosting “The Comic Bubble Podcast” (every Friday) and co-hosting Straight Outta Austin with Prometheus and Amuro Jay. Busy, busy!

Base of operations aka home: Bridgeport, CT

Current mobile device: iPhone 4. Yeah, caveman status by now!

What do you like/dislike the most about your current mobile device?:  Not a fan that it’s still an iPhone 4 and it hasn’t magically changed itself to the current model. Where’s Apple with that app? I do like being able to play all sorts of cool game apps with friends.

Three mobile apps you can’t live without: Facebook, Twitter and Skype

Show us your home screen:

Current Laptop or desktop: Macbook

Most used program/programs on laptop/desktop: Safari, AIM, Mixlr

Show us your desktop:

First place you go when you open your phone or computer: Straight to Facebook and see what I missed, if anything, while taking my beauty sleep.

One website you recommend to people often: Being totally honest- I tell everyone to check out The Comic Bubble‘s Facebook page. Building up an audience!

Favorite piece of tech besides your phone/computer:  My PlayStation 4.

What’s playing in the background while you work?: A lot of the time it’s the 80’s classic, lots of new wave music. Favorite music era.

Gamer?: Oh, absolutely!

What are you playing?: Mostly Destiny right now, with some GTA V mixed in.

Last gaming purchase: Little Big Planet 3.

What item have you purchased recently that is less than $100 that has made your life easier or more enjoyable: A new pair of headphones. Can’t listen to music while walking without them!

We’ve covered the tech so let’s hear about some toys. Any toys or collectibles you’re currently obsessing over?: Funko Pops! I just recently started collecting them.

Favorite toy /collectible from your childhood and favorite toy/collectible you currently own: I have an old Iceman figure that I can’t remember where I got it from my childhood, it might’ve been a gift from my grandmother. Currently, my favorite collectible is my Doctor Who 11th Doctor Funko Pop figure. It’s my first Pop collectible!

Who would you like you like to see featured in a future column?: Erik Millsap. He’s founded a lot of great websites through his Smackbomb.com. He’s such a cool bro and a huge lover of pop culture, especially with comics and music.

Where can people find your work and connect with you?: I’m all over the place! People can find me on Twitter with @Agent00ice (personal) and @TheComicBubble. Also on Facebook.com/Thecomicbubble and because why not- follow me on Tumblr with “MyCrazyCorner“!
