While I still remain optimistic that this film will not be rubbish I see mistakes being made much like Spider-Man 3. The full trailer below showcases some great effects and decent amount of plot development but I remain unimpressed with Jamie Foxx‘s Electro. The Rhino looks more like a transformer and less like what fans are used to. While I didn’t expect anything like this
I did at minimum think we would get something on par with Ultimate Rhino. I’ll have to reserve final judgement much like I did with the Lizard in the first film.
Dane DeHaan will be a goblin of some sort which doesn’t bother me. I feel after his work in Chronicle it’s worth giving a chance but the costume design I am seeing in the poster and to some extent in the trailer leaves much to be desired. I will commend them for making Spidey’s costume much better and more in line with the books. Will Amazing Spider-Man 2 suffer the same fate as Spider-Man 3? We’ll find out May 2, 2014
