Marvel Comics is continuing its celebration of 100 years of Disney with three new variant covers featuring Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and more. The covers are part of a year-long DISNEY100 VARIANT COVER PROGRAM that puts a Disney twist on iconic Marvel Comics moments that will resonate with longtime Marvel readers. This program will honor iconic covers from Marvel’s past and present, along with a glimpse into the future through the classic “What If” lens by reimagining classic comic book covers with Disney characters.
The three new covers will celebrate some iconic stories from Marvel, including the 90s event Infinity Gauntlet, the debut of the lineup of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in New Avengers #1, and Tony Stark’s transformative journey in Invincible Iron Man. With a total of 12 covers planned, fans can expect a new Disney100 variant cover (also available in Black and White versions) to be released each month of 2023 at local comic book shops. In addition, the covers will be found on select issues of Amazing Spider-Man, starting with AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #17, which hits comic store shelves on January 11.
