When HBO Max arrived, one of the biggest questions we got while covering the service’s launch was its availability on Amazon Fire TV devices. At the time of launch, of course, HBO Max was not available, and Fire TV users had to use some creative workarounds to enjoy the service on their devices. I was one of those people, and while I enjoyed the offerings, the question of a native Fire TV app lingered. I can happily say that is changing starting tomorrow as WarnerMedia has announced that HBO Max will be available on Fire TV streaming devices, Fire TV Edition smart TVs, and Fire tablets starting this Tuesday, November 17th, finally bringing HBO Max to millions of Amazon Fire TV customers.

Current HBO subscribers through Amazon Prime’s video channels can log into the HBO Max app with their own credentials, and they’ll be good to go. If you’re using the HBO app with your cable company credentials, it will change to HBO Max tomorrow, and you can log in with your existing cable provider credentials.

“We are very excited that Amazon customers will now be able to enjoy the best-in-class content that lives within HBO Max,”

“Our continued goal is to make HBO Max and its unparalleled content available to customers across all the devices they love. Fire TV is a favorite among customers and we look forward to working with the Amazon team to engage and grow our existing subscriber base by showcasing all that HBO Max has to offer.”
