Celebrating Women's History Month with Marvel's Female Superheroes
March is Women's History Month, and Marvel Comics continues its tradition of commemorating the occasion with a stunning collection of variant covers featuring the company's most iconic female superheroes! This year's covers feature a diverse range of artists currently making their mark in the industry with their distinct and exciting styles.
The five featured heroines range from A-List stars to newcomers, and they're all currently starring in their own solo adventures. Last year's Free Comic Book Day: Avengers/X-Men #1 was the first time Blade's daughter, Bloodline, was seen. Next week, her own limited series will hit comic store shelves. Captain Marvel's current solo run by Kelly Thompson will soon reach the landmark 50th issue. Scarlet Witch has recently embarked on a stunning new adventure in Steve Orlando and Carmen Carrera's Scarlet Witch series. Storm, whose story as one of mutantkind's last defenders will be told in Al Ewing's Storm & the Brotherhood of Mutants, which will be released as part of the X-Men's Sins of a Sinister Crossover, and Laura Kinney's Wolverine, whose days as mutant assassin X-23 will be revisited in the upcoming X-23: Deadly Regenesis series written by Erica Schultz and illustrated by Edgar Salazar.
