I am late on todays film but I will publish a second one later this afternoon. When people ask me about my favorite werewolf movie they are always shocked that I don’t mention An American Werewolf in London. While that movie is a favorite of mine and will probably be on this list I think that The Howling was in a class all its own and gave the werewolf horror films a more updated approach. Director Joe Dante gave viewers not only some very impressive transformations but also provided a complex story that launched countless imitators throughout the 80’s. Another classic that never gets acknowledged.
Here is one of the few instances where I will share a scene from a movie that freaked me out. This was one of the most memorable werewolf transformations second to only to The American Werewolf in London.
