Dwayne Johnson was in full Black Adam mode at SDCC 2022, even going as far as showing up in full Black Adam garb. DC’s anti-hero looks to change the status quo and box office success of DC when Black Adam hits theaters this fall. Will Black Adam have a showdown with Shazam or Superman? I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
Shazam! Fury of the Gods |Christmas 2022
Shazam and his family are back, and the stakes are even bigger than before as he faces off against the Daughters of Atlas (Helen Mirren, Lucy Liu), who are not fond of mortals wielding the powers of the gods. Shazam! Fury of the Gods will also focus on Shazam finding his footing as a hero amongst a “family” of heroes, so expect more of the comedic elements from the first film while also adding some more layers to Shazam.
I Am Groot | Disney+ | August 10, 2022
Groot takes center stage in a new series of shorts that kick off on August 10, and while we know the dialogue will be chockful of I am Groot, there will be plenty of elements to bring a smile to your face. Groot has stolen the show in all of his on-screen appearances, and this series of shorts will be no different.
