Ladies and gentlemen, a new challenger has arrived! The game that will likely be going head to head with The Dark Knight for game of the year status is upon us and it is shaping up to be nothing short of phenomenal. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be in stores this coming Tuesday, May 19, and many have begun their preloads on their consoles and PCs already. Here at R.A.G.E. Works, we have known that this game was going to be something big, but now that the dust has settled even we are surprised. The problem a developer faces when making a new entry in a successful franchise is making said entry better in every way than its predecessor. At CD Projekt RED, the developers have spent the past three years making that a reality. Not only that, they have gone a long way to ensure that gamers get a complete experience from their initial purchase – something that has been lacking as of late. Yes, there will be future DLC, but they want to make sure that the reason you buy it is only because you love this game so much that you have to have more. The studio head even went on record to tell players not to buy the expansion pass if they are unsure about its quality. The good news is that we have been bombarded over the past few months with information regarding The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. CD Projekt RED does not want to hide behind the franchise name and have the returning faithful buy it. They are looking to grab longtime fans and make new ones and with over one million pre-orders, it looks as though they have succeeded. Check out the new trailer titled, “A Night to Remember,” and get sucked into the hauntingly beautiful, yet deadly world of Geralt.
